Do Your Research
The next few Quick Tips will cover some "Do's and "Don'ts" of Exhibiting.
DO
Research a show carefully before you decide to exhibit. Does this show attract a large number of people from your target audience?
Make no mistake about it - tradeshow participation takes a lot of time, energy and dinero! You don't want to spend them on folks who are unlikely ever to do business with you.
DON'T
Don't be afraid to ask questions. Trade Show organizers have all kinds of information that new exhibitors would benefit from knowing.
What questions should you ask? I like to ask their opinion on booth location and what other companies are around my booth. You may also want to ask about attendee demographics, exhibitor's requirements, and what assistance you can expect from the show's staff.
Now, go be a Do-er!!
