Here's another "Do and "Don't" of Exhibiting related to PLANNING for your trade show.

DO

Start planning early!!  I learned this lesson the hard way in my early days.

How early?  Believe it or not, many tradeshow exhibitors routinely start planning their trade show appearances twelve to eighteen months in advance!  They may even register for next year's show before leaving their current show.

DON'T

Don't wait!  Late planning can not only result in you getting a less desirable trade show booth placement, but may also hit you where it hurts the most... you're wallet.

Often times, you can get a bit of a break with early registration and service requests. The longer you wait, the more you will spend.

Here's something else to think about... Don't pass up the chance to visit other industry events before you exhibit for the first time.  Make note of what you liked you and what turned you off.  What did you find to be effective?  Can you incorporate those items into your own trade show exhibit?

Now, go be a Do-er!!
