The Personal Follow Up

I can't stress this enough... you MUST follow up with your leads after your trade show!  I'm sure you're well aware that the most important part of any tradeshow takes place after you leave the building.

See that big pile of leads you've gathered?? Great! But NOW WHAT!?

Well, you can start by sending them all thank you notes for coming to see you.  But want to make a real impression?  Give them a call.  That's right... actually pick up the phone and call each one of them.

Here's something I found very disturbing after attending a recent trade show.  A few weeks later, we were calling on the leads that we gathered to check in and see if they needed any trade show giveaways.  Do you know I had several people tell me that I WAS THE ONLY ONE WHO CALLED THEM!

Sure, they got emails and mailers but nobody called.  What happened to the days of personal attention??

Believe me, a little effort goes a long way.  In today's day of technology and mass mailings people appreciate a little one on one communication.
